Refund & Exchange Policy

Every piece at The Playback Store is pre-loved and carefully graded before it reaches you. Because we deal in vintage, one-of-a-kind stock, our returns process works a little differently. Please read this before requesting a return or exchange.

Days to request a return or exchangeStarting from the day you receive your order. After this window closes, we are unable to entertain any return, exchange, or refund requests.

Return window

You have 3 days from the date you receive your order to request a return or exchange. This applies to all items, with no exceptions. Once the 3-day window has passed, we will not be liable to entertain any request — so inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

Your two options

What you’re entitled to depends on the reason for your return:

Path A

Full Refund

If the item is defective, differs from its description, or is a different item from the one you ordered.

Path B

Exchange or Store Credit

If you simply don’t like the item, or the size doesn’t fit you properly.

Defective, mis-described, or wrong item

If your item arrives defective, differs materially from its description, or is a completely different item, you are eligible for a full refund.

  • Contact us within 3 days of receiving your order, with photos of the issue
  • The item must be returned in its original condition — unworn, unwashed, tags intact
  • Once we receive and inspect it, your full refund is processed
A refund is only issued after the item is returned and confirmed to be in its original condition.

Didn’t like it, or wrong size?

If the item isn’t what you expected, or the size doesn’t fit, we won’t offer a cash refund — but we’ll make it right:

  • Exchange: swap it for another item of the same value from our current collection
  • Store credit: credit equal to the value of the item, to use on a future order — no expiry

The item must reach us within the 3-day window in its original, unworn condition with tags intact.

Return shipping

Shipping costs for sending an item back are the customer’s responsibility, regardless of the reason. We recommend a trackable courier service, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit back to us.

Condition requirements

To be eligible, items must be sent back:

  • Unworn and unwashed, in the same condition you received them
  • With all original tags and packaging, where applicable
  • Free from any odours, stains, or damage caused after delivery

How to request a return or exchange

  • Message us on WhatsApp or email within 3 days of receiving your order
  • Include your order number, the reason, and clear photos of the item
  • We’ll confirm your eligibility and share return instructions
  • Once we receive and inspect the item, we process your refund, exchange, or store credit within 3–5 business days
